Trek the High Atlas, the Berber way
ASSL Tours offers hikes and trekking circuits in Morocco’s mountains and deserts, to discover its most beautiful landscapes.
Just an hour from Marrakech, the High Atlas rises into a different world — terraced fields, walnut groves, mud-brick villages and the snow-capped silhouette of Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. This three-day trek follows ancient mule paths through the Ouirgane National Park and the Azzaden Valley to Imlil, the gateway village for Toubkal, at a gentle, human pace.
You’ll walk with experienced Berber mountain guides, share mint tea with families along the way, and sleep in welcoming gîtes and guesthouses. It’s an accessible introduction to mountain Morocco — no technical climbing, just clear air, big views and genuine hospitality.
